The obsession with mermaids this summer has cast its spell on me and I am hooked! I have been looking at so many things and I want everything!! So when I saw ‘mermaid nails’ I had to dive in and do it myself and I’m going to show you how I apologise that the video and pictures don’t show how shiny/ sparkly my nails are. Regardless of any light- inside/ outside it doesn’t catch it well enough, you will just have to try it yourself.

So firstly here are the products I used, I have used Gels that you need to cure with a Light:
– Bluesky base coat
– Bluesky top coat
– Indigo gel polish in the colour ‘maybe baby’
– Indigo powder in ‘the mermaid effect’
– UV Gel Cleanser wipe from Bluesky
Prepare your nails- file, shape, tidy cuticles and buff. You need a nice smooth service for an even finish
Apply your base coat and cure for 2 minutes
Apply 2 coats of gel polish (indigo ‘maybe baby’ curing at 2 minutes each time
Using a small brush dip the brush into the powder and place onto the base of your nail. Using the brush, sweep in a downwards motions to cover all of your nail. Brush off any excess round nails.
Apply a top coat and cure for 2 minutes
